Description
This pirate ship was commissioned in 2007 by Saunders Farm, to be added next to their “Splash Zone." It was specifically designed to include many great activities that would keep children occupied for hours. During my visits to Saunders Farm, on many occasions, I have come across children having so much fun on this play structure that they never want to leave!

Materials used
This ship was made in solid eastern white cedar and white pine. It can also be made with western red cedar upon request. No nails were used in the building of this ship, only screws and bolts. All details were finely sanded. The entire structure is 10 foot wide by 37 foot long by 18 foot tall including the mast. The entire unit covers a 60 foot by 35 foot pad. This unit is shipped in 3 separate parts and is assembled in place.

Activities include:
  • dingy with working oars and bell
  • knotted climbing rope
  • monkey bars
  • detailed carved mermaid and anchor (great for photo ops)
  • 2 moving canons in the bow & 2 moving canons in the stern with cannonballs attached
  • talking tube
  • a working rudder
  • captain’s quarters with world map & miniature ships
  • a great 2 person slide
  • a large custom made climbing net
  • captain’s steering wheel
  • a solid climbable Crowes nest (made sturdy to accommodate up to 8 children)
  • a Crowes nest bell
  • Binoculars & telescope
  • a working crane that pivots, turns, lifts and lowers
  • walking plank
  • mop & bucket
  • We can also add more features upon request.
